My name is Whitney, and I specialize in providing individual therapy for adults seeking meaningful change and emotional balance. Life can be challenging, and at times we all need additional support to navigate its complexities. I work with clients to reduce anxiety, manage stress, and restore a sense of inner stability. In a safe, judgment-free space, we explore past experiences, current stressors, relationship patterns, and unresolved conflicts to foster healing and growth.
My areas of focus include, but are not limited to, supporting first responders and their partners, individuals navigating fertility and perinatal challenges, parents adjusting to new roles, and those experiencing significant life transitions or exploring identity development. Together, we will identify your goals and create a restorative plan that promotes long-term well-being and personal success.
My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, which emphasizes the individual rather than the problem. I believe clients are the experts of their own lives and possess the capacity for growth and healing. Within a supportive and nurturing environment, I provide guidance and collaboration that fosters self-discovery and lasting change. The therapeutic relationship itself serves as the foundation for success—built on genuineness, unconditional positive regard, and empathic understanding, the core principles of the person-centered approach.
I integrate elements of Psychoeducation, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered Therapy, while encouraging creative outlets such as art, journaling, meditation, time outdoors, and narrative restructuring between sessions.
In our work together, you will feel heard, empowered, and supported as you build the skills and insights needed to create a healthier, more balanced, and fulfilling life.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where my passion for understanding people first took root. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Miami University and went on to complete my graduate studies in Clinical Counseling at Xavier University.
My early career began in a partial hospitalization program, where I had the privilege of working with youth and adolescents through group, individual, and family therapy. I later moved into the school setting, supporting elementary-aged students across diverse urban communities—an experience that deepened my appreciation for the resilience and individuality of each person I meet.
In 2017, I followed my love for nature and new beginnings to Washington State, drawn by its fresh air and mountain views. Since then, I’ve continued to grow as a therapist, working in both private practice and fully remote settings with individual adults. In February 2022, I took a meaningful step forward by opening my own private practice—a space where I can offer genuine connection, support, and encouragement to those ready to create lasting change in their lives.
